GRIFE芬兰教育与全球视野研讨会系列 XIII

GRIFE Finnish Education and Global Perspectives Seminar Series XIII

We are delighted to invite you to the upcoming GRIFE Seminar Series XIII, titled " CHANGE LABORATORIES IN SCHOOLS: MOVING INTO THE ZONE OF PROXIMAL DEVELOPMENT    ”.

You are welcome to join us onsite at The Education University of Hong Kong or online via Zoom.

Cultural-historical activity theory (CHAT) offers a rich conceptual toolkit for participatory educational transformations by means of Change Laboratory formative interventions. Such systemic bottom-up transformations are needed as educational systems face three pervasive contradictions, manifesting themselves in skin-deep learning, encapsulation of the school, and alienation of students. The lecture introduces key features and instruments of the Change Laboratory. Three examples of Change Laboratory interventions are presented, each addressing one of the pervasive contradictions. The CHAT perspective on educational change is summed up by proposing a zone of proximal development for school education.
