The Triple Helix Conference is the leading global forum on university– industry–government–society interactions for innovation and societal impact. Since 1996 it has convened in major innovation hubs across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia—showcasing scholarship, policy, and practice while catalysing collaboration.

Global Research Institute for Finnish Education (GRIFE) at EdUHK is a growing international hub for research on education futures, teacher professionalism, phenomenon‑based learning, and sustainability, building bridges between Europe and Asia and translating research into policy and professional development. Its annual conferences have rapidly become cross‑regional platforms for education innovation.

In 2026, these traditions converge: the 24th Triple Helix Conference and the 3rd GRIFE Annual Conference will run together under a unifying theme—creating a space where innovation‑ecosystem research meets education transformation to address societal challenges. As part of EdUHK’s 10th Anniversary of Retitling, the event will draw high‑level attention from university leadership, government, and the GBA innovation community.

Building on the success of Tampere 2020 and Monterrey 2025, Hong Kong 2026 brings the conference to Hong Kong—expanding THA’s footprint in Asia’s most dynamic innovation hub and positioning Hong Kong as a bridge between Europe, Mainland China, and the Global South.

Scale & Reach: We anticipate 200-300 participants from 20+ countries, spanning academia, industry, government, civil society, and graduate students.
