EdUHK Scholar Engages Zhejiang Universities on Education Innovation and Youth Employability  

Professor Yuzhuo CAI, Professor of Department of Education Policy and Leadership and Co-Director of GRIFE at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), successfully concluded a significant academic visit to Zhejiang Province from 21 to 26 October 2025. The visit, including the cities of Hangzhou and Jiaxing, was strategically designed to deepen academic collaborations, facilitate research exchange, and promote EdUHK's postgraduate programmes.

From 21 to 23 October 2025, he visited Zhejiang University of Technology, Zhejiang International Studies University, and Zhejiang University, where he had discussions on topics such as "The Efficient Path from Good Research to a Good Paper: A Guide for SSCI Journals", "Finnish Education Philosophy and Eastern Wisdom" and "How to Articulate a Good Study: A Guide to High-Level Academic Writing" with faculty and students. The primary focus was on introducing the innovative master's programmes offered by the Academy for Educational Development and Innovation (AEDI) and the Academy for Applied Policy Studies and Education Futures (AAPSEF) at EdUHK. A central focus of his presentations was the pioneering Master of Arts in Comparative Education and Collaborative Innovation (MA[CECI]). Professor Cai elaborated on the programme's unique global position, which is grounded in the Triple Helix Model, a framework that fosters innovation through university-industry-government collaboration. He explained how the MA(CECI) curriculum is specifically designed to equip students with advanced skills in comparative education analysis, research methodology, policy analysis, project coordination, and ecosystem design, thereby empowering them to build and strengthen cross-sector partnerships.

During the academic conference named International Forum on Graduate Employment and Entrepreneurship (高等教育就業創業國際論壇) organized by Beihang University and China Association of Graduate Employment (高校畢業生就業協會) in Jiaxing from 24 to 25 October 2025, Professor Cai presented his latest research and contributed to high-level dialogues on contemporary educational issues and youth employability. In his address, he inspired attendees to explore their unique potentials and talents, seize every opportunity to accumulate diverse experiences, and build professional networks to widen their future career prospects.

International Forum on Graduate Employment and Entrepreneurship (高等教育就業創業國際論壇)

Further extending his outreach beyond the international conference, Professor Cai conducted a promotional session for students and faculty at Jiaxing University on 24 October 2025. This session provided a platform to discuss the advantages of EdUHK's postgraduate offerings. He particularly emphasized the practical applications of the Triple Helix Model, illustrating how an EdUHK education prepares students to become architects of innovation in their future careers.

This comprehensive visit has reinforced the academic ties between the GRIFE at EdUHK, and institutions in Zhejiang. It has paved the way for future collaborations in areas including joint research projects and student recruitment for EdUHK's postgraduate offerings.
