GRIFE Finnish Education and Global Perspectives Seminar Series XXIII
We are delighted to invite you to the upcoming GRIFE Seminar Series XXIII, titled " STEAM Education in Early Years: Sustainability, Innovation, and Practice ”.
In this seminar, Dr. Kristóf Fenyvesi will present a project for teachers and school leaders on implementing Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) co-funded by the European Union. The SCRAPPIES project inspired educators and learners to explore creative approaches, encouraging the alternative use of everyday items and scrap materials to build knowledge and promote positive attitudes toward a sustainable future.
Dr. Annie Xinyun Hu will present the initial findings of a STEM project funded by the University Grants Committee (UGC), which aims to connect children with sustainable learning practices within Hong Kong community. The Pedagogical Play Framework (PPF) was used to guide kindergarten teachers to design innovative activities to support young children's learning in authentic learning contexts.
