Dialogue on Play Pedagogy: Experiences in Hong Kong, Finland, and Global Contexts

We are delighted to invite you to the “Dialogue on Play Pedagogy: Experiences in Hong Kong, Finland, and Global Contexts”, featuring Professor Pasi SAHLBERG from the University of Melbourne, Australia. A world-renowned educator and author of Finnish Lessons, Professor Sahlberg has extensive experience studying educational reforms, creativity in learning, and the role of play in enhancing student wellbeing and academic outcomes. His insights from Finland – a country celebrated for its child-centred, play-rich early years education – will serve as a springboard for cross-cultural dialogue.

Dr. Annie Xinyun HU, Assistant Professor in Department of Early Childhood Education and Assistant Director of GRIFE from The Education University of Hong Kong will also join the discussion.

We warmly welcome EdUHK staff and students, particularly those from the ECE Department with an interest in play pedagogy. Early childhood and primary educators, curriculum developers, teacher trainers, education students, researchers in pedagogy and comparative education, and anyone interested in making learning more joyful, engaging, and effective through play play are invited to attend.
